Next, you can go through the Add Rule command a second time selecting the same IF expression, but this time select Bad under formatting. This option will format the field value with red text on a light red background, making it obvious to the user that the value is incorrect. When the user corrects the problem, the field style reverts to the default black text on a white background so you do not have to create a special rule for corrected values. Rather than select the Add Rule command, you can also select the Manage Rules button in the Rules group to open a panel along the right side of the screen that shows all of the currently defined rules for the selected field as shown in Figure 9-12.

Remember that validation triggers consist of Boolean expressions that must evaluate to True for invalid conditions.
